Startel was founded in 2010. The vision of our founders is to offer Tamil Cinema and Tamil Channels in an OTT (Over The Top) service. The board of Startel believes in the growing demand for OTT, multi-device television as opposed to traditional STB and satellite-only models.

With the introduction of « Bheema TV » Startel took a big step towards the realisation of its vision. Bheema TV is the first VOD service for South Indian Movies in Europe.

Startel was founded in 2010 by Santhuru Vasanthakumar its current Chairman & CEO. 3 years Startel was offically registered with the Swiss authorities as a limited company (GmbH).
